Garni (garnay) is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the East Bay of California. She holds a Master of the Arts in Counseling Psychology and her Master of Business Administration. She recently received her Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University and is passionate about advancing racial equity and social justice.
She enjoys the opportunity to blend her skill set and interests in the workplace and private practice. With the opportunity to work with dynamic professionals, couples, families and individuals to coach skill development, improve relationships and drive results her daily life is varied and full. It is her firm belief, and personal experience, that improving how we communicate with others can break down barriers in the whole of our world so that we can come away making more progress and feeling more connected.
She has completed Levels 1 through 3 clinical training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy based on Dr. John Gottman’s over 40 years of research and is currently pursuing her certification in this method. Garni uses Gottman Method insight, and other methods and interventions, to support and strengthen relationships in all forums – whether personal or professional.
